Mizugaki-Yama, with an elevation of 2,230 meters, is one of Japan’s Hundred Famous Mountains. The summit offers a 360-degree panoramic view. There are two main climbing routes. one from Mizugaki-Sanso (Mizugaki Mountain Hut) and another from Mizugaki Natural Park. Both routes provide different experiences, and the mountain is accessible from April to November (snow-free months). Jo-Yama, although lesser-known, is one of Japan’s many climbing areas. Located in Shizuoka Prefecture, this area has a rich climbing history dating back to the 1960s. It’s famous for sport routes, with over 300 routes ranging from 5.7 to 5.14. Most of the climbing areas face south, attracting climbers seeking a variety of challenges.
